Lois Carolyn Jenkins, 77, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Christmas morning 2024. She was a native of the Siam area of Elizabethton and the daughter of the late Alfred and Elizabeth Treadway Deloach. She was married to Billy Lee Jenkins for 58 years. They were active members of Cherokee Mountain Church.
Carolyn, as she was known, worked at Gordon’s Furniture and Dockerys before becoming a full-time homemaker. She enjoyed tending to her flowers with her green thumb and spending time with family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by children, Jamie (Karen) Jenkins, Becky (Keith) Burleson and Randy (Michelle) Jenkins; grandchildren, Amanda (Clayton) Smith, Jessica (Mitch) Stauffer, Jacob (Elizabeth) Jenkins, Luke Jenkins, Anna Jenkins, Zachary Jenkins and Alex Jenkins; and great-grandchildren, Nolan Smith, Marlee Smith, Maggie Stauffer, Andrea Stauffer and Beau Smith.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her siblings, Charlotte Walker, Carl Deloach, Jack Deloach, Grady Deloach, Ruby Loveless, Shirley Smith, Joyce Arnett and Jimmy Deloach. Sister Judy Blackburn is left to cherish their memories.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 29, at Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services with Pastor Kenny Whaley officiating. Visitation will be conducted from 1 until 2 p.m., prior to the service, at Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home. The graveside service will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery, 202 Union Church Road, Jonesborough, Tenn. Active pallbearers will be Jamie Jenkins, Jacob Jenkins, Luke Jenkins, Zach Jenkins, Randy Jenkins, Alex Jenkins and Keith Burleson.
