Valley Forge Auction Thanksgiving Tournament tips off at Happy Valley High

The Valley Forge Auction Thanksgiving Tournament begins Wednesday, Nov. 27, at Happy Valley High School. The girls’ varsity basketball event, which runs through Saturday, Nov. 30, features a “Carter County Challenge” theme, showcasing all four Carter County schools—Happy Valley, Hampton, Cloudland, and Unaka—alongside strong regional contenders Volunteer, Cedarview, Unicoi County, and Tennessee High.
The tournament promises three days of competitive matchups, giving fans a preview of the season’s talent and rivalries. Each team will compete in preliminary games, culminating in themed contests named after colors—Green, Red, White, and Blue—on the final day.

Wednesday, November 27
- 3:30 p.m.: Cedarview vs. Happy Valley
- 5:00 p.m.: Volunteer vs. Hampton
- 6:30 p.m.: Unicoi County vs. Unaka
- 8:00 p.m.: Tennessee High vs. Cloudland
Friday, November 29
- 3:30 p.m.: Tennessee High vs. Unaka
- 5:00 p.m.: Cedarview vs. Hampton
- 6:30 p.m.: Volunteer vs. Cloudland
- 8:00 p.m.: Unicoi County vs. Happy Valley
Saturday, November 30
- 9:00 a.m.: Cedarview vs. Unaka
- 10:30 a.m.: Tennessee High vs. Hampton
- 12:00 p.m.: Volunteer vs. Happy Valley
- 1:30 p.m.: Unicoi County vs. Cloudland
Final Games:
- 3:30 p.m.: Green Game — Volunteer vs. Unaka
- 5:00 p.m.: Red Game — Happy Valley vs. Tennessee High
