The Salvation Army of Johnson City and Century 21 Legacy are continuing a partnership to serve children in need this Christmas season. Century 21 employees have committed to purchasing gifts for over 75 children this year.
“This is our favorite opportunity each year and we are excited to partner again this Christmas season,” Anna Harrell, principal broker for Century 21 Legacy, shared in an email.
Century 21 employees shopped for their sponsored children Friday at the Johnson City Walmart.
The Salvation Army encourages businesses, groups, places of worship and individuals to commit to adopting a number of children this year to provide Christmas gifts for this holiday season.
“We are so grateful to Century 21 Legacy for being exceptionally generous and making a big impact to help us ensure that all 943 children are able to receive gifts that make the holidays extra special, Major Maureen Diffley, the Salvation Army’s corps officer said. “When companies engage this week, they have a terrific opportunity for teambuilding, giving back to the community and celebrating the holidays.
The Salvation Army still needs donors to “adopt” remaining tags this season. Please contact Olivia Brokaw by email or phone at Olivia.Brokaw@uss.salvationarmy.org or 423-926-2101 to request a specific number of Angels. The Salvation Army will provide the tags and special bags for your donations. All Angel gifts must be turned in by November 25. Groups can make arrangements for specific drop-off times.
Donations for Angel Tree may be dropped off at Dawn of Hope at 500 E. Oakland Ave.
