The new Three Rivers Conference youth basketball league officially tipped off its season Saturday, with games hosted across multiple Tri-Cities venues. Star correspondent Brandon Hyde was on-site at the Elizabethton/Carter County Boys and Girls Club, capturing the excitement as the Cyclones faced off against the Vikings in second-grade action.
The league, comprised of six basketball organizations—Dobyns-Bennett, Gate City, West Ridge, Tennessee Middle School, Sullivan East, and T.A. Dugger Junior Cyclones—features teams from second through sixth grade.
This weekend’s action included 30 games spread across the gyms at the Elizabethton/Carter County Boys and Girls Club, Gate City High School, and Gate City Middle School.
The comprehensive coverage of the league’s opening weekend was made possible through the generous sponsorship of Citizens Bank.
