Thomas Alan McConnell, 72, Roan Mountain, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. He was born May 15, 1952 in Elgin, Ill., to the late William and Helen Hamilton McConnell. He had lived in Tennessee for 24 years.

Thomas was the owner of M & L Auto Parts Store in Elgin for 30 years. His hobbies were fishing, wood carving and cars. He was of the Presbyterian Faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard McConnell.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Judith Final McConnell; one son and daughter-in-law,  Jerry Alan and Kristin McConnell, Wonder Lake, Ill.; two grandchildren, Allison and Jacob; and one brother, James McConnell.

It was his wish to be cremated and no services are planned.
