New Liberty Free Will

New Liberty Free Will Baptist Church will honor military veterans Sunday during the 11 a.m. worship service with a patriotic presentation by Air Force veteran Curtis Huskins, a trumpet solo by Liz Cole, and patriotic music presented by the New Liberty Revival Choir and Laura Coleman.

The message will be presented by the pastor, the Rev. Wesley Duncan.

Following the service, lunch will be served in the church fellowship center.

Pastor Duncan and the congregation invites everyone to attend in honor of our veterans and to thank God for His blessings.

The church is located at 113 Peters Hollow Road near the Stoney Creek Volunteer Fire Department on Highway 91N.

 

Blue Springs Christian

Blue Springs Christian Church, 107 Don Rominger Road, invites everyone to the church’s chili cookoff Sunday at 6:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall.

Come, and enjoy some different chilis and great fellowship. Those attending will vote on the Best Chili.

The minister is Wes McElravy.

 

First Christian

First Christian Church will have worship Sunday at 9:45 a.m. There will also be Bible study for adults, youth, and children on Wednesday at 6 p.m. All are invited.

The IDES (International Disaster Emergency Service) will be back for a couple of weeks beginning Nov. 11. If you would like their help, call the church office.

Elizabethton First Christian also has a food pantry. Persons needing a food box are asked to call the church office at 542-5651 to make an appointment.

First Presbyterian

First Presbyterian Church Elizabethton will have both a live and online worship service Sunday at 11 a.m.

The pastor, the Rev. Dr. Brian Wyatt, will present the sermon “Gratitude Based on Genesis 1: 1-2:3.”

Meditation is Wednesday at 7 p.m. and Adult Forum is at 9:30 a.m. Sunday.

The church is located at 119 West F St.

 

Lower Shell Creek Christian

Lower Shell Creek Christian Church will observe a season of giving thanks during the month of November.

Each week during worship, the focus will be on thanksgiving through music, videos, and preaching.

The scripture verse for the month is I Thessalonians 5:18.

A church-wide Thanksgiving meal will be held Nov. 24 following the worship service.

The church is located at 8726 Highway 19E in Roan Mountain. Sunday School is at 10 a.m. worship at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. The Wednesday service is at 7 p.m.

Southside Free Will

A night of Thanks Living for Thanksgiving will be held Saturday, Nov. 9, at 6 p.m. at Southside Free Will Baptist Church featuring Jeff Norris Ministries and Landon Bellamy.

Jeff and Shana Norris are a local southern gospel group that has shared the gospel in song for the past 25 years. For this one service only they will be joined by Landon Bellany, who has played for Brian Burchfield, The Hoppers & The Street Family. He currently has his own solo ministry.

A meal will be provided at 6 p.m. and the worship service is at 7 p.m.

Southside Free will is located at 224 Jack Bradley Road in Elizabethton.

The pastor is Jeremy Burleson.

 

Upper Gap Creek Free Will

The Joyful Hearts will sing Sunday at the 11 a.m. service at Upper Gap Creek Free Will Baptist Church.

A love offering will be received.

The church is located at 1380 Dry Creek Road.
