Harvey A. Prichard III, 67, of Elizabethton, Tenn., passed away on Friday, October 11, 2024, at his home. Harvey was born in Kingsport, Tenn., to the late Harvey Prichard Jr. and Margaret Dillow Prichard.

Harvey retired from advertising and attended Bread of Life Fellowship Church. He preached at the Northeast Correctional Prison in Mountain City, Tenn., and held Bible study for many years. He loved reading the Bible and preaching the gospel.

Harvey had also been the lead singer in the band, “Lex Rex,” and was a drummer for the band, “Face Like Flint.” Harvey also started a Celebrate Recovery meeting in Elizabethton. 

Those left to cherish Harvey’s lifelong memories include his wife, Jeannetta Russo Prichard; his beloved sons, Brandon Prichard and James Prichard; Harvey’s first wife and Brandon’s mother, Sandy Leonard; his lifelong friend since high school, Tom Brock of Kingsport; and many other friends and extended family members.

The family will hold a memorial service to celebrate Harvey’s life at 6 p.m. Monday, October 28, at the Bread of Life Fellowship Church with Pastor Todd Ellis officiating. A song will be provided by Ron Taylor and a song will be provided by Tom Brock and Tony Johnson as well as instrumental music by Tony Johnson. The family will receive friends at the church between the hours of 5 and 6 p.m. Monday. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to a local charity of their choice for flood relief victims of Hurricane Helene.
