Hopwood Christian Church, located adjacent to the Milligan University campus, will have its annual quilt show and craft sale Friday and Saturday. The show will feature a broad collection of antique, vintage and new quilts. The quilts – new and old – will be displayed inside the auditorium on the back of pews. In the 1930s the women of Hopwood raised money to buy the church’s beautiful stained glass windows by coming together and making quilts and then selling them. In addition to homemade arts and crafts, there will also be canned goods for purchase. The show will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Admission is free and open to the public.
