Doe River Baptist

Doe River Baptist Church will have a fall festival on October 27 from 3 to 5 p.m.

The church will have its Holiday Craft Market on Saturday, Nov. 9, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Vendors are limited to crafters and businesses only.

Siam Baptist

Siam Baptist Church will have Trunk or Treat Saturday, Oct. 26, from 6 to 8 p.m.

The Rev. Brian Holloway is pastor.

 

Unaka Baptist

Unaka Baptist will celebrate homecoming on October 20. The theme will be Old-Fashioned Days.

The Rev. Johnny Fields is pastor.

 

First Presbyterian

First Presbyterian Church, 119 F St., Elizabethton, will have both an online and live worship service Sunday at 11 a.m.

The pastor, the Rev. Dr. Brian Wyatt, will present the sermon “Cookies, Camps, and Second Chances” based on Psalm 19: 1-4.

Meditation is Wednesday at 7 p.m. and Adult Forum is at 9:30 a.m. Sunday in Martin Hall.

First Presbyterian is located at 119 West F St.

 

First Christian

First Christian Church, Elizabethton, will have worship Sunday at 9:45 a.m. There is Bible study for adults, youth, and children on Wednesday at 6 p.m.

The Wednesday night study is on John McArthur’s Twelve Unlikely Heroes.

The International Disaster Emergency Service is set up at First Christian Church to help in area flood disaster recovery efforts. Persons who need trees cut up, debris moved, or your house mucked out, call 542-5651. IDES also brought an eight-stall shower that can provide hot showers to anyone in the area.

First Christian also has a food pantry. Persons needing a food box are asked to call the church office at 542-5651 to make an appointment.

The church is located at 513 Hattie Ave.

First Church of the Nazarene

Homecoming will be held Sunday, Oct. 27, at the First Church of the Nazarene, with speaker and evangelist, the Rev. Bill Ulmet, preaching.

Also, revival will be held October 23-37 with Rev. Ulmet as evangelist.

Sunday School will be held at 9:45 a.m., morning worship at 10:45 a.m., and the Sunday evening service at 6 p.m.

The Wednesday service will be at 7 p.m.

Special music will be provided for each revival service.

Pastor Kenley Knight invites the public to attend.

 

JC Church of Jesus

Harold Lam from Moline, Ill., will preach Thursday, Oct. 24, at the Church of Jesus, 809 W. Main St., Johnson City. Service time is 7 p.m.

The pastor, Brian Cloyd, and the congregation invite the public to attend and worship with them.

 

Valley Forge Christian

Valley Forge Christian Church will have Trunk or Treat Saturday, Oct. 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church.

The church is located at 114 Valley Forge Christian Church Road.

 

Cobbs Creek Baptist

Revival will be held October 21-23 at Cobbs Creek Baptist Church, 150 Church St., Butler.

Gary Phillips, Jr. will preach Oct. 21 with Haleigh Ward singing.

John Hammett will preach Oct. 22 with Grace Hammett singing.

Harvey White will preach Oct. 23 with special singers from Sink Valley Baptist Church singing.
