Singer-songwriter, SiriusXM radio personality Dallas Wayne will perform at the Down Home in Johnson City for an intimate evening of live music on Friday, Nov. 8, at 8 p.m.
“I’m looking forward to playing the Down Home, a legendary listening room in the Tri-Cities; an area I’m happy to call home these days,” said Dallas Wayne. “Spending most days talking on the radio, it’s a real treat to share my songs and stories with music lovers, and have the opportunity to meet our Willie’s Roadhouse and Outlaw Country radio listeners in person.”
Dallas Wayne’s most recent album Coldwater, Tennessee was released on the BFD/Audium Nashville label with distribution via Sony Orchard. Produced by Buddy Cannon, this album of original tunes includes several co-writes with long-time collaborator Robbie Fulks, along with the heartbreaking ballad He Even Brought Her Flowers, which Dallas co-wrote with Hall of Fame songwriters Buddy Cannon and Whisperin’ Bill Anderson.
Throughout his long career, Dallas has performed across North America and Europe after honing his vocal style in Nashville. He has released 13 albums of his own, and performed on various compilation and band projects including Heybale, The TwangBangers, and a Grammy-nominated Special Consensus bluegrass album.
In addition to performing his own music, Dallas can be heard on SiriusXM Radio at Willie’s Roadhouse (channel 59) weekdays from noon to 6 p.m. Eastern and Sunday from 10 a.m. to noon, and in Outlaw Country (channel 60) Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to noon. In 2015, Dallas was inducted into the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame in recognition of his radio career.
Dallas currently lives in Bristol, Tenn., the ”Birthplace of Country Music.”
