Adrian Bundy kicks off fall concert series at Northeast State

The Entertainment Technology program of Northeast State Community College delivers the best in local and international music with the upcoming fall concert series beginning October 17.

First up is the Adrian Bundy and His Honky Tonk Hearts performing great classic country music. The performance begins at 7 p.m. in the Entertainment Technology Sound and Lighting Lab (Room O58) in the Technical Education Complex building on the Blountville campus next to Tri-Cities Airport.

Adrian Bundy, founder and frontman for Adrian Bundy & His Honky Tonk Hearts, based out of Johnson City, is a real deal honky-tonk crooner. Bundy’s sound is dripping with influences of Merle Haggard, George Jones, Ray Price, George Strait, James Hand, Dale Watson, Gary Stewart, Tony Booth, Jake Hooker, and many others responsible for country music’s unparalleled popularity from the 1950s-1990s. With Adrian on stage, you can expect a good honky-tonkin’ time but be ready to shed a tear when he delivers a heartfelt ballad.

Adrian has been performing in and around Johnson City and Charlottesville, Va. He’s also performed at the Nashville Palace, The Troubadour, and Honky Tonk Tuesdays at Legion Post 82 in Nashville; the renowned Bristol Rhythm and Roots Reunion festival; Dollywood; Gruene Hall in New Braunfels, Texas; The Broken Spoke and The Continental Club in Austin, Texas; Chandelier Ballroom in Houston; and with legendary Texas honky-tonker Dale Watson in Washington, D.C.

Adrian also plays the lead role of an up-and-coming country music singer in the critically acclaimed short film “Neon Shadows” that premiered at Film Fest Knox at the Regal Riviera in Knoxville in November of 2023.

Admission to all concert series shows is free. All performances are being produced by Northeast State Entertainment Technology students. The shows are open to the public and anyone interested in live music. For more information, contact tec@northeaststate.edu.
