Elizabethton Police: Broad Street, East Elk Avenue Bridges remain closed

MAP 1 FROM JOHNSON CITY TO HAMPTON AND ROAN MOUNTAIN From Johnson City, turn right onto Mary Patton Highway from West Elk Avenue.
MAP 3 BROAD STREET TO HWY 19-E AND STONEY CREEK Turn left onto Old Bristol Highway. For small vehicles going toward Stoney Creek turn left onto Lover's Lane. For all other traffic including large trucks, follow Old Bristol Highway to the Dollar Store and turn right to Highway 19-E.
MAP 2 BROAD STREET EXTENSION Broad Street Extension will either turn right toward Piney Flats or left toward Roan Mountain.

The Elizabethton Police Department has announced that the Broad Street/US 321 Bridge and the East Elk Avenue Bridge are still closed due to recent flooding. Both bridges will remain closed until further notice as safety assessments continue.
Motorists are urged to seek alternate routes through and around Elizabethton to avoid the affected areas. The department is working closely with local officials and will provide updates as soon as the bridges are deemed safe for reopening. Drivers are advised to stay alert and follow any posted detours.
