The following arrests have been reported by the Elizabethton Police Department:
Sept. 23: Timothy J. Arnold Jr. was cited for shoplifting at Walmart on Overmountain Drive after failing to scan $25.40 worth of items. Arnold stated it was unintentional and has an Oct. 30 court date.
Sept. 22: Edward Wayne Guinn was arrested for public intoxication after harassing customers at Wendy’s on Broad Street. Officers detected alcohol and found Guinn unable to complete sobriety tests. He was also trespassed from Wendy’s and has an Oct. 21 court date.
Sept. 21: Jeffery O. Payne was issued a criminal summons for shoplifting $137.05 worth of items at Walmart. He is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 21.
Sept. 21: Heather Renea Garland was summoned for shoplifting $23.59 at Walmart using self-checkout. She is scheduled for court on Oct. 21.
Sept. 19: Edward Wayne Guinn was arrested for public intoxication at a construction site after attempting to purchase alcohol while intoxicated. He is due in court on Oct. 21.
Sept. 18: Eric Charles Bowman was cited for shoplifting $170.85 at Walmart and has a court date set for Sept. 30.
Sept. 18: James T. Blackburn III was arrested for public intoxication and criminal impersonation after being found disoriented on Milligan Highway. He faces court on Sept. 30.
Sept. 18: Heather Renea Garland was cited again for shoplifting Pokémon cards at Walmart by altering barcodes. She has a court date set for Sept. 30.
Sept. 18: Julian Charles Smith was arrested for criminal trespassing at Tobacco Depot after ignoring previous warnings. He is due in court on Oct. 21.
Sept. 18: Sidney Q. Jones was arrested for criminal trespassing at a residence on Bluefield Avenue. He has a court date on Sept. 30.
Sept. 11: Ronald Lee Christian was cited for driving on a revoked license and having faulty headlights on North Lynn Avenue. He will appear in court on Oct. 21.
Sept. 10: Capt. Matt Croy responded to a shoplifting incident at Walmart, 1001 Overmountain Drive. Sherry A. Camper failed to scan several items, including boots, and had unpaid earrings and bug spray in her purse. Camper was cited for shoplifting.
Sept. 9: Officer Mitchell Tolley was dispatched to Walmart for shoplifting. Campbell attempted to steal $99.82 worth of merchandise. She was issued a criminal summons for shoplifting and has a court date set for Sept. 30.
Sept. 9: Officer Rocky Croy responded to a shoplifting call at Walmart. Ronald Forrest Lowe and April Michelle Lowery were caught attempting to steal $368.19 worth of merchandise. Both were issued citations for shoplifting and are scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 30. Both were also banned from Walmart.
Sept. 9: Sgt. Eric Buck responded to West Riverside Drive for suspicious activity involving Dakota Edward Holsclaw. Holsclaw admitted to snorting methamphetamine and appeared intoxicated. He was arrested for public intoxication and has a court date set for Sept. 18.
Sept. 8: Officer Justin Pearce was dispatched to Walmart for a shoplifting incident involving Victoria A. Powell. Powell attempted to steal $31.53 worth of merchandise. She was cited for shoplifting and banned from Walmart. Powell is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 30.
Sept. 8: Officer Mitchell Tolley responded to a hit-and-run at 924 Pine Ridge Circle. Gage Malik Lightsey was identified as the suspect. Lightsey, who admitted to hitting a car and leaving the scene, was found intoxicated. He was arrested and faces multiple charges, including DUI and driving with a suspended license.
Sept. 8: Officer Ryan Manuel responded to a shoplifting incident at Walmart involving Lisa Christine Marie and Bryan Mitchell Edwards. Both were caught skip-scanning items and issued criminal summonses for shoplifting. They are scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 30, and Marie was trespassed from Walmart.
Sept. 8: Officer Mitchell Tolley responded to a suspicious person call at Redi Mart, 1001 Siam Road. Andrew Austin Connor was found intoxicated and in possession of methamphetamine. Connor resisted arrest but was eventually subdued. He faces charges of possession of methamphetamine, public intoxication, and resisting arrest.
Sept. 7: Officer Ryan Manuel responded to a shoplifting incident at Walmart. Keshia T. Gordon was observed skip-scanning items and was cited for shoplifting. She is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 30.
Sept. 6: Officer Ryan Manuel stopped a vehicle with a malfunctioning headlight on West Elk Ave. The driver, Matthew R. Quillen, was found to have a revoked license and multiple prior offenses. Quillen was arrested for driving while revoked and other related charges.
