First Christian

First Christian Church, Elizabethton, will have worship Sunday at 9:45 a.m. The congregation is presently doing a church-wide series titled “Big Ideas.” The Sunday School lessons correlate with the sermon in this series.

There is Bible study for adults, youth, and children Wednesday at 6 p.m. Currently, the classes are following a study on John MacArthur’s “Twelve Unlikely Heroes.”

First Christian also has a food pantry. Persons needing a food box are asked to call the church office at 542-5651 to make an appointment.

First Christian is located at 513 Hattie Ave. The minister is Michael Klaus.

 

Blue Springs Christian

Blue Springs Christian Church will celebrate homecoming Sunday, Oct. 6, at the 10:45 a.m. service.

The church, located at 107 Don Rominger Road in the Blue Springs Community, was established in 1894.

Following the service lunch will be served in the fellowship hall.

Everyone is invited, especially if you are a former member or don’t have a home church.

The minister is Wes McElravy.

 

Roan Street Free Will

Roan Street Free Will Baptist Church will have homecoming Sunday with the service beginning at 10:20 a.m. The pastor’s son, Loren Harris, will sing.

Loren formerly sang with the Kingdom Heirs at Dollywood.

The message will be presented by Johnathan Sams, followed by lunch in the fellowship hall.

The pastor, Donnie Harris, invites all past and present members and friends of the church to attend and worship on this special day.

The church is located at 820 N. Roan Street in Black Bottom.

 

St. Elizabeth Catholic

St. Elizabeth Catholic Church will have its annual craft and bake sale Saturday, Oct. 12, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

All items featured at the sale are homemade. The sale will feature some great bargains, beautiful crafts, and delicious baked goods.

St. Elizabeth is located at 510 West C St.

Everyone is invited.

 

Pleasant Beach Baptist

A fall festival will be held Saturday, Oct. 19, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Pleasant Beach Baptist Church.

The event will feature food trucks, bounce houses, games, candy, live bluegrass music, and giveaways from local shows.

The church is located at 125 Watauga Road.

 

Church of the Nazarene

Elizabethton First Church of the Nazarene is preparing for homecoming, which will be held October 27 and will feature speaker and evangelist Rev. Bill Ulmet as special guest at the morning service at 10:45.

Following the service, dinner will be served in the fellowship hall.

Also, revival will be held Oct. 25-27 featuring Rev. Ulmet as guest speaker. Services will be held at 7 p.m. Special music will be provided for each service.
