First Presbyterian
First Presbyterian Church Elizabethton, 119 West F St., will have both an online and live worship service Sunday at 11 a.m.
The pastor, the Rev. Dr. Brian Wyatt, will present the sermon “Minotaurs, Labyrinths, and Morning Commutes” based on Philippians 4: 8-9.
Meditation is Wednesday at 7 p.m. and Adult Forum is 9:30 a.m. Sunday.
Everyone is invited.
First Christian
First Christian Church, Elizabethton, has Sunday worship at 9:45 a.m. The church is currently doing a study titled “Big Ideas.” The Sunday School lessons correlate with the sermons in this series.
There is also Bible study for adults, youth, and kids on Wednesday at 6 p.m. Presently, the Wednesday study is on John McArthur’s Twelve Unlikely Heroes.
First Christian has a food pantry. Persons needing a food box can call the church office at 542-5651 for an appointment.
The church is located at 523 Hattie Ave., and the minister is Michael Klaus.
Borderview Christian
Borderview Christian Church, 1338 Bristol Highway, will have a Night of Praise Sunday, Sept. 22, at 6 p.m.
The service will feature the diverse talents and skills of the Borderview Church family. From vocal numbers to original poetry, storytelling, testimonies, original art, quilting, crafts, and more, praise to God will be experienced.
Everyone is invited to attend.
Scott Fisher is the senior pastor and Kathy Thomason is the student minister.
Church of the Nazarene
Elizabethton First Church of the Nazarene is preparing for a special fall event – Homecoming, which will be held October 27 and will feature speaker and evangelist Rev. Bill Ulmet as the guest speaker at the morning service at 10:45.
Following the morning service, dinner will be served in the fellowship hall.
Also, revival will be held Oct. 23-27 featuring Rev. Ulmet as guest speaker. Services will be held at 7 p.m. Special music will be provided for each service.
Kenley Knight, pastor, invites the public to attend.
Roan Street Free Will
The Edwards Family from Burnsville, N.C., will present special singing Sunday at the 11 a.m. service at Roan Street Free Will Baptist Church.
Sunday, Sept. 29, the church will observe homecoming. Singing will begin at 10 a.m. featuring Pastor Donnie Harris’s son, Loren Harris. Loren formerly sang with the Kingdom Heirs at Dollywood.
Brother Jonathan Sams will preach, after which lunch will be served in the fellowship hall.
Everyone is invited to attend and worship on this special day.
The church is located at 820 N. Roan St., in Blackbottom.
Unity Fellowship
Homecoming will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Unity Fellowship, 907 S. Cedar Ave.
Special singing will be presented by Phillps & Banks. Dinner will be served following the service.
Sunday School is at 2 p.m.
The pastor is the Rev. Greg Wagner.
Pleasant Beach
A fall festival will be held Saturday, Oct. 19, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Pleasant Beach Baptist Church.
The event will feature food trucks, bounce houses, games, candy, live bluegrass music, and giveaways from local shows.
The church is located at 125 Watauga Road.
Casi Full Gospel
Casi Full Gospel Church will hold its 46th Annual Song Revival from Sunday, Sept. 29, through Friday, Oct. 4, at 7 p.m. each night.
Special singing will be presented nightly: Sunday, Sept. 29, The Hoppers; Monday, Sept. 30, Mylon Hayes Family; Tuesday, Oct. 1, Reagan Riddle and Hominy Valley Legacy; Wednesday, Oct. 2, Ivan Parker; Thursday, Oct. 3, The Chuck Wagon Gang; Friday, Oct. 4, Jeff Tolber & Primitive Road; and Saturday, Oct. 5, The Inspirations.
There is no admission, but a free will offering will be taken.
The church is located at 370 Casi Road, Chuckey, just off Hwy. 107.
