East Tennessee State University is launching its “Bucs Stuff the Bus” school supply drive as part of its annual Founders Week. The initiative will provide essential supplies to students in Hawkins, Carter and Sevier counties, ensuring they have the tools they need for success in the classroom.
ETSU departments and student organizations are invited to participate by donating a variety of supplies, including paper products, organizational tools, technology and arts and crafts materials. These contributions will directly support students, helping to remove barriers to learning and foster academic success.
To encourage broad participation, the ETSU community and the public are invited to join in ‘stuffing the bus’ during the ETSU vs. Samford football game on Saturday, Oct. 12. Additionally, donations can be made through Amazon wish lists available online.
“Honoring ETSU’s proud legacy as the state’s ‘teachers’ college,’ this initiative aligns with our long-standing commitment to education and community,” said Leah Adinolfi, dean of Student Engagement at ETSU. “Every contribution supports our goal of investing in the future of our region and empowering the next generation of learners.”
The “Bucs Stuff the Bus” drive will conclude during Founders Week, which features a range of activities that underscore ETSU’s dedication to community service, education and outreach.
