The Elizabethton Cyclones got an early wake-up call as the visiting Cherokee Chiefs stood toe-to-toe with the Cyclones on Senior Night, finishing the first quarter in a 7-7 tie.

However, Elizabethton used a three-touchdown second quarter to take a 28-13 lead into the break and then outscored the Chiefs 13-0 in the second half to secure a 41-13 Region 1-4A conference victory over the visitors from Rogersville.

Elizabethton used a bruising ground game to pound out 282 yards on 42 carries, with five touchdowns scored on the ground. J-Bird Wallin led the charge with 13 carries for 111 yards and two scores.
