The Elizabethton/Carter County Animal Shelter will host a “Live at Five” adoption event on Thursday, Sept. 12, from 5 to 7 p.m. During the event, all adult spayed and neutered animals will be available for adoption for a $20 fee (cash or check only).

“Right now, the shelter is filled to capacity with many loving and beautiful animals,” said Shelter Director Shannon Posada. “We will be holding this special event to help these wonderful animals find their forever homes. The citizens have always been good about supporting us in times of need, and we know they’ll step up again to help us find homes for these dogs and cats.”
