To the Editor:

Public schools should obey the law and teach the U.S. Constitution.

Constitution Day was established as a federal holiday in 2004, to commemorate the signing of the U.S. Constitution on Sept. 17, 1787. It’s also called Citizenship Day. The oath taken for U.S. Citizenship includes “will support and defend the Constitution and laws of America.” U.S. military members take an oath to support and defend the Constitution.

Federal law requires public schools observe Constitution Day and teach the Constitution. Surveys show the need for better education on our Constitution. As we celebrate the anniversary of the Constitution we should read it, study it with our children, and discuss its great principles.

Our Constitution gives public school students the right to pray and bring their Bible to school. Students can use their rights at any time and at two events. See you at the flagpole is Wednesday, Sept. 25, at 7 a.m. The theme is 1 Timothy 2:1. Bring your Bible to School Day is October 3. Our Protestant Christian founders, knowing the Bible and that people are evil and can’t be trusted with total power, established the right to bear arms, established separation of powers, checks and balances and three branches of government from the Bible, Jeremiah 17:9, Isaiah 33:22, etc.

Sadly, there are no Protestant Christians on the Supreme Court. Biden and Harris put a woman on the U.S. Supreme Court that can’t define a woman. Trump put people on the U.S. Supreme Court that overturned Roe v. Wade and allowed each state to decide the abortion issue. Even if you don’t like either candidate, we vote for a package in a presidential election. We elect a president, vice president, party platform, over 3,000 political appointments, hundreds of judge appointments and Supreme Court appointments. Biden and Harris have shown disregard for our Constitution by allowing over 10 million illegal immigrants who don’t support our laws or Constitution!

Our Constitution is original and unique. It’s the oldest Constitution still in force in the world today, the source of our remarkable political stability and freedom. Our Constitution has been so successful. America is the longest on-going constitutional republic in the history of the world!  Respect our U.S. Constitution, the supreme law of the land for 237 years and the difference between being governed and being ruled! As the Bible says only Jesus is worthy to rule Earth, and will soon do so after the seven-year tribulation. Jesus is worthy because he alone was slain and has redeemed us to God by His blood!
