Elizabethton Police Department reports multiple arrests Staff Reports

The following arrests have been reported by the Elizabethton Police Department:
Sept. 5:
Rondal L. Hyder was arrested after a traffic stop for speeding and driving with a suspended license. He also had an outstanding warrant for violation of probation. Hyder was charged with driving on a suspended license (third offense), speeding, and failure to provide insurance. He has a court date set for Sept. 30.
Dustin William Braswell was arrested at Pine Ridge Circle for an active warrant. During the arrest, officers found drug paraphernalia on his person. Braswell was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to appear in court. He has a court date set for Sept. 30.
Sept. 3:
Susan Renee Willis was issued a summons for shoplifting at Walmart after using incorrect barcodes to purchase items totaling $271.23. She has a court date set for Oct. 21.
Aug. 26:
Gallerie L. Burns, a Walmart employee, was cited for shoplifting two items totaling $30.37. She has a court date set for Sept. 30.
Aug. 25:
Justina T. Vanover was arrested for DUI after a traffic stop on West Elk Ave. She admitted to consuming alcohol and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. Vanover was charged with DUI, speeding, and improper lane usage. She has a court date set for Sept. 30.
