“Elizabethton Federal Savings Bank is proud to sponsor the Main Street Block Party for the fourth year. Downtown Elizabethton is a great location for this annual event. The Main Street Block Party brings locals and non-locals together for music, food, and fun. We believe this is going to be the best one yet!” said Elizabethton Federal Savings Bank President and CEO Teri Reach.

The performance lineup includes regional talent Fritz & Co. from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Fritz & Co. has roots in rock and roll, delivering a high-energy show fueled by their punchy songs. The Kindest People will take the stage from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. with their four-piece indie/garage rock band. They blend modern pop sensibilities with a reverence for 1960s garage rock and 1990s alternative. These two regional acts promise great tunes and fun entertainment throughout the event.

The Block Party will also feature downtown retail, dining, a beer garden by Riverside Taphouse and Appalachian Sun Brewery, and family-friendly yard games courtesy of the Elizabethton/Carter County Public Library (Adult Services). The 500 block of Elk Avenue will be closed off for attendees to enjoy the Block Party activities, held in conjunction with the festival.

Main Street encourages the community to enjoy the Block Party, sponsored by Elizabethton Federal Savings Bank, as part of Covered Bridge Days. The event is an opportunity to showcase the variety of downtown businesses that contribute to the community. Everyone is encouraged to visit downtown businesses throughout the weekend, as many will offer sidewalk sales and specials on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
