A trial date of May 12-21, 2025 has been set for two men charged with the murder of their father.

In Carter County Circuit Court this week, Judge Stacy Street ordered questions to be given to jurors on January 6, 2025, in the upcoming trials of Jacob Alexander Hitchcock, 31, and 25-year-old Joshua Elliott Hitchcock, both charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of their father, 63-year-old Bill Hitchcock Jr., who was found dead April 1, 2023, in the driveway of his home.

An autopsy determined the preliminary cause of death was a gunshot wound.
