Valley Forge Freewill Baptist Church will offer an Operation Christmas Child Project Leader Workshop on Saturday, Sept. 7, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. This event is free and open to anyone interested in learning more about this incredible project.  

Operation Christmas Child is a ministry of Samaritan’s Purse, an international relief organization which provides disaster relief in Jesus’ Name. 

Since 1993, Operation Christmas Child, the world’s largest Christmas project of its kind, has collected and delivered more than 220 million shoebox gifts to children in more than 170 countries.

The Elizabethton workshop will feature a testimonial from a Tri-Cities area volunteer who recently participated in a shoebox distribution trip to Kenya. Breakout session topics will include OCC fundraising ideas, quality crafts, and how to pack a fun, full and personal shoebox.
