Erika Cable, administrator at The Waters of Roan Highlands in Roan Mountain, recently received the Tennessee Health Care Association’s (THCA) 2023 Professional Service Award. The award recognizes an owner, employee or consultant of a THCA member facility who displays exemplary leadership in fostering a positive image of the long-term care industry in the community while ensuring the overall success of the facility.
Cable led her facility to a 2022 AHCA Silver Award and a 5-star Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services rating every month for the past four years. Among her various accomplishments, she is actively involved with hosting community events at her facility, including an annual July 4 celebration to benefit the local Alzheimer’s Association.
Cable accepted the award Aug. 17 during THCA’s Convention & Trade Show in Nashville, where individuals, groups and facilities were celebrated for their outstanding accomplishments in long-term care. Awards are presented annually in a variety of categories.
“It’s an honor to recognize the hard work and skill of our award recipients. They set a very high standard with their amazing commitment to long-term care residents,” THCA Executive Director Jesse Samples said.
THCA is a nonprofit organization whose members include long-term care facilities located throughout the state.
