Rock legends Stryper are celebrating a monumental milestone – 40 years of trailblazing music and electrifying performances. On September 11 at 7 p.m., the band kicks off their 40th Anniversary Tour at Niswonger Performing Arts Center, offering fans a chance to witness a landmark event in rock history.

Stryper, renowned for their distinctive “heavenly metal” sound and crossover success in the 1980s, ascended to fame with Billboard Top 40 hits like “Calling on You,” “Honestly,” and “Always There for You.” Their unique blend of hard rock and Christian themes set them apart in a genre that was just beginning to take shape.

This special anniversary tour will feature two sets showcasing a broad range of their discography, highlighting both classic anthems and new material. The current lineup includes three original members: brothers Michael Sweet (vocals/guitar) and Robert Sweet (drums), alongside Oz Fox (guitar). They are joined by Perry Richardson, a veteran bassist formerly of Firehouse, adding a fresh yet familiar edge to their dynamic performances.
