Carter County Schools is proud to announce that three local educators have been selected to participate in Tennessee’s 2024-25 Rural STEM Collaborative Cohort. The honored teachers are Chelsea Anderson of Central Elementary, Katherine Nichols of Unaka High School, and Nikki Jenkins of Valley Forge Elementary.

The Rural STEM Collaborative aims to deepen participants’ knowledge of STEM education and empower them to bring meaningful change to their classrooms and communities. As part of the program, these teachers will work to identify a specific need or gap in their school, community, or classroom and develop a project designed to bridge that gap with a practical solution.

Carter County Schools congratulates these forward-thinking educators on their selection and their commitment to advancing STEM education within the district.
