Johnnie Abel Bradshaw, 83, of Hampton, went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, after an extended illness.

He was born on July 19, 1941, to the late John Henry and Rhetta Harmon Bradshaw.

Johnnie served in the U.S. Coast Guard and later worked at Snap-On Tool until his retirement. He was a 51-year member of the Hampton Masonic Lodge, where he served in many capacities. Johnnie attended Beck Mountain Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, Johnnie was preceded in death by his loving wife of 37 years, Carolyn Faye Jones Bradshaw.

Johnnie was a gentle, kindhearted man who always had a smile on his face. He was happiest when spending time with his beloved wife, Faye, and went out of his way to help anyone he could.

Left to cherish his memory are a brother-in-law, Clifford Gobble; a host of nieces and nephews; and a multitude of friends.

Graveside services for Johnnie Bradshaw will be held Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Beech Mountain Cemetery, Dark Ridge Road. Pastor Ronnie Campbell will officiate.
