LeeAnthony “Tony” Vines, 60, of Elizabethton, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Aug. 19, 2024. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee Vines.

He was the son of Lois Vines. Survivors include his mother, Lois Vines; two daughters, Whitney Vines and Lakisha Vines; a sister, Robin Dixon and her husband, C.J.; two nephews, Patrick Chambers and his wife, Megan, and Phillip Chambers; a great-nephew, Mathias Fynn Chambers; and Tony’s fiancée, Wilma Cloyd.

He was employed at Chuck Rich Properties and had previously worked many years at Kennametal. He was a 1983 graduate of Unaka High School. Tony coached basketball for many years and loved fishing and water sports. He was also an avid fan of the Redskins, Dale Earnhardt, and Kevin Harvick. He adored his dog, Nika.

A celebration of life will be held Aug. 29 at 6:30 p.m. at the Covered Bridge in Elizabethton. All are welcome to celebrate with the family.
