The Tweetsie Trail Jams Concert Series welcomed TobyMac and Cochren & Co. to Citizens Bank Stadium on Saturday night, where over 3,900 concertgoers filled both the field and stands to listen and worship during the three-hour concert.

Many remember TobyMac from his early career as a member of DC Talk from the Washington, D.C., area. The group performed under that name for many years before TobyMac and Michael Tait pursued individual careers.

Approaching 60 years of age, TobyMac didn’t show signs of slowing down as he moved energetically across the stage and the extension stage during his 90-minute set.

The energy transferred to the audience, with many standing with arms raised in worship or clapping along as TobyMac performed some of his biggest hits.

“It was amazing!” said concert attendee Amber Phillips, who attended with her church group. “That grand finale show was awesome, from TobyMac’s performance to the stage smoke, to the confetti and fireworks! Best outdoor concert I have been to! We are so excited to be back with our youth group next year to see Chris Tomlin and Cain!”

Timothy Holmes added, “TobyMac was the best Christian concert I have been to, and I have been to a lot. We already have our tickets for Chris Tomlin. Thanks for bringing good music to Elizabethton.”

TobyMac had local family in the stands, as he and Shawn, Jason, and Ryan Witten are second cousins, with the Witten boys’ grandmother being a sister to the entertainer’s grandmother.

Michael Cochren, performing as Cochren & Co., opened the night with a 60-minute set. Cochren & Co. have had success in the Christian music industry with hits such as “Jesus in a Parking Lot.”

Nearly 60 people had the opportunity to meet the artist and have their photo taken with the group as part of a meet and greet inside the Elizabethton High School gymnasium.

The entertainers for the 2025 Tweetsie Trail Jams were unveiled between sets, with the announcement that Chris Tomlin will headline the show with CAIN as a special guest.

Tickets went on sale when the announcement was made, with a one-day early bird opportunity as 700 tickets were purchased in advance of next year’s concert. Tickets will go on sale for one week before Christmas, allowing fans to purchase them as gifts for friends and family.

The concert series is organized by the City of Elizabethton, with local businesses providing sponsorship support.
