JOHNSON CITY – Zachary Johnson, 33, of Jonesborough, was arrested by investigators from the Johnson City Police Department’s Special Victims Unit on Aug. 3. Johnson faces charges of aggravated statutory rape and exploitation of a minor by electronic means.

The arrest followed an investigation into a report that Johnson had solicited a juvenile for sexual activity. The investigation uncovered evidence leading to the charges.

Johnson was transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held pending further legal proceedings.
