JOHNSON CITY — John Ambrose, 44, of Johnson City, was arrested on July 27 and charged with one count of aggravated rape, according to the Johnson City Police Department.

The arrest followed a report of a sexual assault made by a victim at Johnson City Medical Center shortly before 7 a.m. on the same day. After conducting an investigation, officers found probable cause to arrest Ambrose.

Ambrose was subsequently transported to the Washington County Detention Center.
