KINGSPORT – The Independent Pilots Association (IPA) is proud to announce a generous donation of $20,000 to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping those seeking food security and feeding hope in the local community. This significant contribution underscores the IPA’s commitment to supporting vital community services and addressing the pressing issue of food insecurity.

The check presentation ceremony took place at the Second Harvest Food Bank, where members of the IPA will meet with Rhonda Chafin, Executive Director. This check presentation not only represents a financial boost to the food bank’s resources but also serves as a symbol of solidarity and support from the aviation community. IPA has a long history of supporting SHFBNT and has donated over $200,000 since 2012.

The IPA recognizes the critical role that SHFBNT plays in providing nutritious food to those in need. With this donation, the IPA aims to help the food bank expand its reach and enhance its programs, ensuring that every individual and family in Northeast Tennessee has access to the food they require. The association believes that this partnership will bring about positive change and inspire others to join in the effort to eliminate hunger in our society.
