The Johnson City Police Department’s (JCPD) paw-some K9 unit will be the focus of the Community Roundtable meeting on Aug. 8. Those in attendance will have the opportunity to interact with the four-legged crime fighters and see them in action. Officers will also discuss K9 training, how K9s work in the field, and what life is like as a K9 handler.
The Community Roundtable strives to foster a positive relationship between the Johnson City Police Department and the citizens it serves. Meetings take place the second Thursday of each month through November at 11:30 a.m. at the Langston Centre, 315 Elm St.
The Community Roundtable is not an appointed board, nor is there formal membership. All community members are welcome to join the monthly meetings.
