Brenda “Beautiful Brenda” Trivette Hunter, 78, of Denver, N.C., passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2024.

Mrs. Hunter was born on March 24, 1946 and was the daughter of the late Culbie and Novella Simerly Trivette. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Lynard Edward Hunter; her brother, Ronnie Trivette; and two sisters, Ruthie Trivette and Kathy Oliver.

Mrs. Hunter was a retired school teacher.

She is survived by two sons, Rick Lynn Hunter and wife Janet of Lincolton and Lynard Edward Hunter II of Denver, N.C.; two grandchildren, Alycia Hunter and Adam Hunter and wife, Holly; and four great-grandchildren, Gideon Hunter, Tobias Hunter, Caspian Hunter and Ivy Hunter.

Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 1, at East Lincoln Missionary Baptist Church, 4769 Highway 73, Iron Station, N.C. 28080, with Rev. Edward Reese officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:45 until 1:45 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service at the church.
