Building Department issues 67 permits in June

A total of 67 permits were issued by the City of Elizabethton Building Department in July with a total value of $8,362,360.09 resulting in fees collected of $45,539.50.

The report was almost identical to one year ago when in June 2023, 66 permits were issued totaling $7,084,073 in value with fees collected in the amount of $42,876.50.

Leading the way in permitting was Commercial Building Permits which saw seven permits issued totaling $6,045,995.09. The majority of the fees for the month came from these permits with $28,516 collected.

Two Commercial Mechanical permits were secured totaling $1,848,732 in value and $9,514 in fees collected.

The largest amount of permits issued was in electrical permits with a total of 14 granted. Residential Building Permits were second with 10 issued valued at $446,633 and $4,390 in fees collected.

Plumbing also saw 10 permits issued.

The remaining permits issued include the following: building move and relocation (1), demolition (1), gas (6), grading (1), manufactured home placement (2), residential mechanical (6), sign (5), and temporary sign (2).
