Nancy was a graduate of Elizabethton High School. Being in the Betsy Band as a First Chair Clarinet player was a big joy and highlight in her life. She also graduated from Steed College in Johnson City, Tenn. Nancy worked at Watts Insurance in Elizabethton, then at Raytheon Company in Bristol.

Kenneth and Nancy were married on January 2, 1962 and were married for 62 years. Nancy worked only a short while after she and Kenneth married. They had no children. She was a devoted wife to Kenneth and was always there to take care of her own mother and father. Nancy kept an immaculate home and loved taking care of the yard until she was no longer able.
