Hazel White Truman Hester, 97 (March 18, 1927), went home to Heaven on May 21, 2024, to be with many of her family members and friends who preceded her including her first husband, William Clyde Truman; her father, Daniel Richard White, and mother, Ollie Combs White; two brothers, Harry “Bud” White and Daniel “Danny” White; daughter, Michelle White; and second husband, Curtis Preston Hester; as well as their beloved white Persian cat Noel.

Hazel was a devoted wife and mother of their adopted daughter Michelle. She was a graduate of Mars Hill College (1946). Hazel grew up in the area of Stoney Creek, Tenn. She enjoyed her growing up years, going to school at Hunter Grade School as well as Unaka Elementary School. She graduated from Elizabethton High School in 1944. 

She leaves behind her stepchildren, Gary Hester (Donna) and Lynn Human, three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, all of Florida.

The graveside service and inurnment will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 27, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Everyone will meet at the cemetery at 12:50 p.m. Online condolences may be shared with the family on our website, www.tetrickfuneralhome.com
