Charles D. “Charlie” Campbell, age 77, of Elizabethton, TN passed away Saturday, July 6, 2024, at his residence. He was born in Banner Elk, NC to the late George and Maude Campbell.

Charlie had retired after working for many years in maintenance for Rite-Screen in Elizabethton. He was a member of Hunter First Baptist Church and a member of the Carter County Cattleman’s Association. Charlie enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson, farming, spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Kimberly D. Campbell, of Elizabethton, Charles D. “Chuck” Campbell, Jr., and wife Hanna of South Korea and Jana D. Campbell-Jackson and husband Jason, of Murfreesboro, TN; five grandchildren, Charles D. “Chas” Campbell, III, Victoria D. Campbell, Dylan K. Davis, Elizabeth J. Campbell and Mollie C. Jackson; two great-grandchildren, Avalayne A. Davis and MariAnn Campbell; one brother, George H. Campbell, Jr., of Elizabethton; one sister, Caroline Bales, of Elizabethton and several nieces and nephews also survive.

A service to celebrate the life of Charlie will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 19, 2024 in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home with Reverend Estel Williams officiating. The family will receive friends between the hours of 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service on Friday. 

The committal service will follow in the Happy Valley Memorial Park.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Donna Bailey and Amedisys Hospice Staff for all their loving care and support given during this difficult time.
