Patriotic bikes and dogs take center stage during celebration

In a patriotic tradition, bicycles and dogs were on display during Thursday’s Independence Day Celebration at Covered Bridge Park.
Although the number of bicycle competitors was down from last year, those participating took time to deck their bikes out in red, white, and blue as they tried to woo the judges to declare them the winner of this year’s competition.
The top three were presented trophies for their placing and a consolation trophy was also presented.
In the Patriotic Pup competition, a large field competed for the title as dogs of various breeds and sizes took their moment on stage forcing the judges to make some tough decisions on the top six in the field.
The competition was well received with many ooh’s and ah’s as the dog owners brought their beloved pet up for review in their most patriotic attire.
