Margaret Ann Maupin, 79, Chuckey, Tenn., formerly of Elizabethton, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at the residence of a son, Larry. She was born September 13, 1944 in Johnson City to the late Luther and Bertha West Howell. She had lived in Elizabethton for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Larry Maupin, who died April 15, 2009, and a brother, Carson Howell.

Margaret was a member of True Gospel Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children, Tammy McKinnley, Steven (Angela) Maupin and Larry (Tina) Maupin; nine grandchildren; three brothers, Roy, Fred and Dave Howell; five sisters, Mable Higgins, Ruby McCorkle, Pansy Maupin, Connie Morton and Marie Ferguson; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 6, in the Maple Lawn Cemetery, Jonesborough, with Pastor Dean Presnell officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 10:45 a.m. Saturday.
