Johnny J. Parsons Sr., 78, went to be with the Lord on June 28, 2024 after a brief illness. He lived in the Elizabethton area for the majority of his life.

Johnny was an experienced musician and enjoyed watching Tennessee Vols football, as well as tinkering with gadgets and computers.

He leaves behind his daughter Kendrea and her husband, David Anderson, and son Joey and his wife, Destine, and five grandchildren, Joseph Hardin, Paige Parsons, Mckae Johnson, Treston Anderson and Alivia Anderson. Special friends include Claudia Gibson, Bob Szabo, Chuck Mathes, Edd Townsend and Billy Bradshaw.

The family will be having a Celebration of Life ceremony inside the Convention Hall at The Courtyard Apartments in Elizabethton on Saturday, July 6, between 2 to 4 p.m.
