ATLANTA, GA. – Elizabethton Star reader Ciara Laws shared exciting action from the prestigious Braves Country National Championships this past weekend in Atlanta. Four all-star teams, two softball and two baseball, from Elizabethton’s ECC Baseball and Softball Leagues attended the opening ceremonies on Friday at Truist Park.
The young athletes had the thrill of meeting Braves legends Dale Murphy and Glen Hubbard, with opportunities for pictures and autographs. The teams also participated in a pre-game on-field parade and announcements, creating lasting memories for all involved.
The Braves Country National Championships is a “win to get in” or invite-only tournament, showcasing top-tier talent. Teams received free Braves jerseys to wear during the games, proudly representing their home states.
The event highlighted not only the athletic skills of the young players but also the strong support from their community, making it a memorable experience for everyone involved.
