First Presbyterian

First Presbyterian Church, Elizabethton, will have both an online and live worship service Sunday at the 11 a.m. service.

The Rev. Dr. Robert Lowry will be guest speaker and will present the sermon “All You Need Is Love” based on Deut. 28.

Meditation is Wednesday at 7 p.m. and Adult Forum is at 9:30 a.m. Sunday.

The church is located at 119 West F St.

First Christian

Worship will be held Sunday at 9:45 a.m. at First Christian Church, Elizabethton. Bible study for adults, youth, and children will be held Wednesday at 6 p.m.

First Christian also has a food pantry. Persons needing a food box are asked to call the church office at 542-5651 to make an appointment.

The church is located at 513 Hattie Ave.

Michael Klaus is minister.

 

Blue Springs Christian

Tony Wolf, a Christian comedian and musician, will be in concert Sunday at 6 p.m. at Blue Springs Christian Church.

Following the service, finger foods will be served.

The church is located on Don Rominger Road, Blue Springs.

Wes McElravy is the minister and invites everyone to attend.

 

Borderview Christian

Borderview Christian Church, 1339 Bristol Highway, will host a God and Country Day celebration Sunday, June 30, beginning with the morning service at 10:45 a.m.

The “Spirit of America,” a patriotic musical by the adult choir, will be presented at the morning service. Veterans have a special invitation and will be recognized during worship and provided with a gift.

The activities will continue at 5 p.m with a community block party with inflatables for the kids. A free BBQ or fried chicken meal will be served at 6 p.m. followed by John Sweeney’s Top Shelf Italian Ice for dessert.

The event will climax with a gospel concert by LIFTED under the big tent. Loretta Bowers, Tony Rominger, Fred Goodwin, Patrick Kelly, and Howard Bloom will provide several genres of great music.

At dusk, there will be a fireworks show.

Everyone is invited to attend all activities throughout the day and is Borderview’s gift to the community.

Scott Fisher is the senior minister and Kathy Thomason is the children and youth director.

 

Cedar Grove Free Will

The Cedar Grove Free Will Baptist Church, Bluff City, will host the Union Trio and Friends, a local Bluegrass Gospel group from the Hickory Tree Community, on Sunday at 11 a.m.

Cedar Grove is located eight miles from Bluff City on Highway 44N across from the Old Webb’s Country Store building.

Darryl Bailey is pastor and invites the public to attend.
