Doe River Baptist Church is reaching out to the community with needed resources by hosting an upcoming resource fair.
The Doe River Baptist Church Resource Fair will host non-profits and businesses from around the area, aiming to connect Carter Countians with free resources focusing on mental health, housing, addiction recovery, disability services, senior services, and more. The organizations on-site at the event will provide information on various programs and grants while also assisting with the sign-up process.
A list of organizations attending the resource fair include:
– First Tennessee Area Agency on Aging and Disability
– Project Access
– Fairview Housing
– The Salvation Army
– Recovery Soldiers Ministries
– Lynn Valley Baptist (clothes closet)
– Much Fruit Ministries
– Elizabethton Senior Citizens Center
– Carter County Compassion Center

“We want the community to know that Doe River Baptist Church cares about them,” Pastor Wayne Lyons said. “While we may not be able to directly provide them with many resources, we want to make sure we connect them with organizations that can.”
The resource fair will be held on Wednesday, June 12, from 9 a.m. til noon in the Christian Life Center behind Doe River Baptist Church, 113 Avon St., Valley Forge Community.
