Linda Stella Mercer Hyder, 62, Elizabethton, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2024, at her residence.

A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Asa and Tennie  Mercer.

Linda was a graduate of Elizabethton High School and was a retired painter. She loved to crochet, cross-stitch, and loved her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Brandy Hyder and Jack Hyder; three grandchildren, Michael, Cheyenne and Brendon; two sisters, Helen Shell and Ellen Mercer; three brothers, Garrel Mercer, Gary Mercer and Ralph Mercer; and several nieces and nephews.

It was her wish to be cremated and no services are planned at this time. Condolences may be sent to the family at our website, www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
