Bank of Tennessee has named veteran banker Brian Ballard as its Chief Banking Officer. In his new role, Brian will be responsible for significant contributions to the strategic planning and direction of the bank.
Brian has more than 30 years of experience in multiple roles with First Bank Holding Company, one of America’s best-performing and largest privately held banks in America. Most recently serving as the bank’s Chief Credit Officer, Brian led a team of more than 450 team members, processing more than $8 billion in loan originations annually for the $26 billion regional bank based in Colorado.
“Brian has excelled in all levels of banking and built a career that has made him an important member of the senior leadership team,” says Will Barrett, President and CEO of Bank of Tennessee. “His leadership will position our bank for growth to benefit our business, commercial, residential, and individual customers for the future.”
“I was impressed with the senior leadership team, the culture of the bank and its employees, and the opportunities for continued growth of Bank of Tennessee,” says Brian Ballard. “After many years in the mountains of Colorado, I’m excited to enjoy the landscape of Tennessee. I’m happy to call Bank of Tennessee my new home and look forward to meeting our current and potential new customers.”
Ballard will oversee customer relationship growth; and developing, implementing, and achieving annual goals set by the bank’s leadership and board of directors. He is now responsible for all aspects of community banking activities, core deposit growth, retail banking, cash management, and other lines of business.
