Star reporter Ron Marvel spent last Thursday night immersed in the sights and sounds of Elizabethton Carter County Youth Softball. Against the backdrop of a sunny, warm spring night, children ages 6 to 12 showcased their skills on the field. The ECC board has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to enhancing the fields this year, ensuring the best possible experience for both boys and girls during this season.
ECCYBSA Softball Commissioner Luke Gregg shared how softball season is going this year for the league.
“ECC softball is having a great year. Our numbers are up from last year, plus we have added a 13-16-year-old league. We have two teams in that division. They are playing Little League teams from Jonesborough and Bristol. We have gone back to player pitch in the 10-12 age group. We are really wanting to be a stepping stone for these young ladies and help them be prepared to make the school teams.”
