Police respond to domestic disturbance on Lark Street

JOHNSON CITY – On April 28, around 10:30 p.m., Johnson City Police Department officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1100 block of Lark Street following reports of a domestic disturbance. Upon investigation, it was found that Valeriano Portillo, 44, of Johnson City, engaged in a verbal altercation with an individual at the residence, during which he allegedly threatened them with a utility knife and caused damage to their property.
Portillo was arrested on April 29 at 3:55 a.m. and charged with one count of aggravated domestic assault and one count of misdemeanor vandalism. Following his arrest, he was transported to the Washington County Detention Center.
