Beatrice Hamm Morrell, 87, of Lexington, S.C., went to be with the Lord on April 10, 2023 at Lexington Medical Center after a long illness.
Beatrice was a 1956 graduate of Elizabethton High School where she was a proud member of the band. After graduating she boldly went to Washington, D.C. to work for the Navy Department. She returned to Elizabethton to have and raise her family. She retired from the Veterans Administration Mountain Home. After retirement she worked for the Child Support office until moving to Lexington, S.C. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Theresa Morrell, Ponder, Texas.
She is survived by her son, John and Paula Morrell, Lexington, S.C. Also surviving are her grandson, Christopher and Emily Vines, Bloomington, Ohio, and great-grandchildren, Xavier, Phoenyx, Quinn and Zane; and her granddaughters, Samantha and Justin Burt, Howe, Texas, and great-grandchildren, Mya, Ryder and Maverick; and Allison and Kevin Iglehart, Joshua, Texas, and great-grandchildren, Landon, Gavin, Tinleigh, Octavia, Logn and Blaze.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 4, at 12 Springs Community Church, Lexington, S.C., at 2 p.m. The service will be conducted by Pastor Scott Robinson.
