Johnnie Danyel Russ, 47, of Elizabethton, went home to be with the Lord on April 9, 2024. We lost a momma, aunt, sister, best friend and all around beautiful soul.

Johnnie was preceded in death by her parents, Rick Guinn and Kim Taylor; her sister, Melissa McMahan; and her son, Jerry “Bubba” Potter.

She is survived by her daughter, Erica Potter, two brothers, two sisters, stepmom, uncles, aunts, and many nieces and nephews.

Johnnie lived life to the fullest. Her favorite thing was spending time with Erica, Moo Moo, and Bella. She was a kind and loving soul. Her family and friends were her everything.

A special thanks to Robin and Edward Grindstaff and Samantha England for being so good to her and always being there. Special thanks to everyone that’s been there through this difficult time.

The family will receive friends Saturday, April 27, at 401 Hatcher Lane in Elizabethton from 4 to 6 p.m.
